Certified Medicaid Planner™ (CMP™)
Certified Medicaid Planner™ (CMP™)
Considering that there will be 40 million Americans over the age of 65 by 2040 and because few advisors know proper Medicaid planning, the CMP™ credential is one that was very much needed in our industry.
Most clients and their advisors have no idea that, in order to receive financial assistance through Medicaid, they have to spend down their “countable” assets to $2,000 (single clients) or less. It is because of this reason that the WPI believes every advisor giving advice to clients age 60 and older should know this subject matter.
The CMP™ is the only Medicaid credential of its kind in the legal, accounting, financial services, and insurance industries.
By obtaining this credential, advisors are demonstrating to their clients that they not only know this vitally important subject matter, but that they have been rigorously tested on it as well.
